Everything Jesus Foretold About Upcoming Events Happened, Exactly As He Foretold It.Ģ1 From that time Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised up on the third day (Matthew 16:21).ģ1 “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat 32 but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.” 33 But he said to Him, “Lord, with You I am ready to go both to prison and to death!” 34 And He said, “I say to you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know Me” (Luke 22:31-34).ġ4 " If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. 8 “And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment 9 concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me 10 and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you no longer see Me 11 and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged” (John 16:7-11). 46 " Which one of you convicts Me of sin? If I speak truth, why do you not believe Me? John 8:45-46 Jesus’ Words And Those Of His Apostles Are Proven True Because The Holy Spirit Witnesses To Their Truthfulness:ħ “But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you but if I go, I will send Him to you. 50 " I know that His commandment is eternal life therefore the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me" (John 12:49-50).Ĥ5 " But because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me. 32 “There is another who testifies of Me, and I know that the testimony which He gives about Me is true (John 5:30-32).Ģ8 So Jesus said, "When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and I do nothing on My own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught Me” (John 8:28).Ĥ9 " For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak. 31 “If I alone testify about Myself, My testimony is not true. As I hear, I judge and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. Jesus And His Apostles Were Authentic Because Of Their Obedience To God’s Word And Directed Toward The Worship Of Godģ0 “I can do nothing on My own initiative. 27 They were all amazed, so that they debated among themselves, saying, “What is this? A new teaching with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.” 28 Immediately the news about Him spread everywhere into all the surrounding district of Galilee (Mark 1:23-28 see Luke 4:30-37).ġ1 This beginning of His signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory, and His disciples believed in Him (John 2:11).Ģ3 Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing (John 2:23).Ģ2 “Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know- (Acts 2:22).ġ2 At the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were taking place among the people and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s portico (Acts 5:12).Ģ For if the word spoken through angels proved unalterable, and every transgression and disobedience received a just penalty, 3 how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? After it was at the first spoken through the Lord, it was confirmed to us by those who heard, 4 God also testifying with them, both by signs and wonders and by various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit according to His own will (Hebrews 2:2-4). If a man not from God can perform miracles, how do we know which miracles are from God? How do we know Jesus’ s miracles are from God? What’s the difference? Answer: How do we know Jesus’s miracles are from God? Jesus And His Apostles Are Authenticated By Signs And WondersĢ3 Just then there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit and he cried out, 24 saying, “What business do we have with each other, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us?
